It was only recently that I took any notice of Pandora Jewelry after a friend of mine was given a bracelet as a gift for her birthday, and now that I have seen one I hear people taking about them all the time. I thought they were quite a new company as well but it turns out they were founded way back in 1982, so they are well established and have plenty of experience. While Pandora bracelets and charms might be the most popular items that they sell they also do a wide range of rings, earrings, necklaces and brooches too.

Pandora Moments

The most popular range that Pandora sells is the “Moments” collection. This collection was first introduced about 10 years ago, one of the big things with these bracelets and charms is the patented way of getting the charms on and off of the bracelet, they screw on and off. If you have had a charm bracelet before and the charms have just slide on then you will know that they fall off easily when the bracelet is not on your arm, or if the charms had to be clipped into place you will know that it can be quite annoying trying to get the charms on at times. With this design there is no risk of the charms falling off and it is really easy to get them on and off if you need to change them or move them around. Some of the bracelets in the collection also feature the “Pandora clasp”, this is interestingly designed clasp that looks great and is secure, though sometimes it can be a bit too secure and can be a struggle to get off with only one free hand.

Perhaps the biggest reason why this range is so popular is the price of the pieces. These Pandora bracelets starts with leather bracelets with sterling silver clasps, prices for these start at only $40. This is the style that is most popular with people buying gifts for friends for obvious reasons. But there are more charm bracelets to choose from as well, such as all silver bracelets which cost about $60-$70, then there are the 14k yellow gold bracelets that sell for a whopping $1,400, without any charms.

When it comes to picking the charms for bracelets you will be faced with over 800 charms to choose from. Silver charms start from as little as $25, this will get you something like a letter or initial, or one of the many lovely looking quirky charms like jack-o-lanterns, giraffes, lady bugs, graduation hats and loads of other great looking charms. They might not be dirt cheap, but they are affordable enough that you can buy them as gifts for friends or buy them for yourself every month or so. Of course not all of the charms will be this cheap, they do have a huge selection of silver and gold charms and some that feature semi-precious and precious stones. From the Pandora website the most expensive charm I could find was a 14k gold dice (or die) which had diamonds in it, this little charm will set you back $770. There really is something for everyone from the gold and silver charms, to birthstones, Murano glass and many more, there are even cute little spacers that you can use to pad the bracelet out with.

Moments Necklaces

There is also a range of necklaces that match these charm bracelets as well but the selection doesn’t seem to be that great. So far all I have found is different colored fabric cords that go round your neck, they look OK, but it wasn’t what I was expecting. The good thing is that you can use all the charms from the bracelets on the necklaces too.

Pandora LovePods

One of the newer ranges that Pandora sell is called LovePods, these are very popular as well but the range has been aimed at slightly higher price points. This range has got rings and earrings in it too as well as just bracelets and necklaces.

The LovePods bracelets are very fine and delicate pieces so I would be scared to wear them all day, every day in case I broke them. There is a small selection of bracelets available, they are either made from white or yellow gold and have small diamonds in them too. While they look great, they are quite costly, prices start at $535.

The LovePods necklaces are very much the same as the bracelets, very fine pieces made from white and yellow gold, though they do feature more stones in the pendants, stones such as peridot, topaz, amethyst as well as diamonds. Prices from the necklaces on their own start at $470 and for the pendants it is $160.

Just like a necklaces, the rings and earrings are similar again, made from white and yellow gold and featuring the same stones, prices for these range from about $300 to almost $2,000.

Buying Pandora Jewelry

When it comes to buying Pandora bracelets, necklaces and so on it can be hit or miss. There are so many online stores claiming to sell Pandora jewelry, but are the pieces they sell genuine? There are a few that I have found to be fakes so this means I’m a little weary about buying from any of the other stores. Some stores claim to knock 95% of the RRP, is this possible if they are selling genuine Pandora pieces? To add to the fear some of the sites are based in the Far East. For these reasons I stay clear of almost all online stores. If you do a quick search for “cheap Pandora jewelry” you will see some of the questionable sites I am talking about.

Sadly there isn’t even any information on the Pandora website, as far as I can see, that tells you who sells genuine products online. If you are going to buy online then I suggest just buying from the official Pandora site. You might have to pay more but at least you know you will be getting the real deal. Over the last few months myself and my friends have bought quite a few Pandora bracelets to give away as gifts, we have always bought from local stores, this way we know they are going to be real, no one wants to give someone a gift and then they find out it is a fake.
